The half marathon start seemed borderline abandoned. There were no race crew to be found except two volunteers at the bag drop (which moved at least once) The announcer could only be heard at the start line. The folks lined up at the 2:10 hr pace mark couldn’t hear anything, no volunteers to pass on instructions or anything. The course itself was well marked and the finish area was well laid out. The app did not work for me, but spectators were able to track me.

Running in the mountains is no joke if you haven’t been training at altitude. This was not my fastest race for sure!

Start line, packet pickup, everything was well organized and environmentally friendly (no cups!). Race director /announcer was phenomenal. Medal and shirt were awesome!

The only thing I would change is the photography. They advertised signs for the photographers on the course. Only one had a sign. There were none at the finish line where you cross, and none post – race.

There was no real after party/events of any sort. I don’t know if that’s normal or because of covid, but most races I’ve been to usually have something going on afterwards.
