The first mile and half or so is all uphill, but that means the next mile and a half is downhill… woohoo! The last mile is flat. This race always has great on-course entertainment and beautiful shirts and medals. I do it for the swag!

This race is fine, but it pales in comparison to everything the Flying Pig organization puts on. The National Anthem was a recording. The cinnamon rolls that everyone is excited about are served cold. Not a very exciting end to a cold race. The hoodie is fine, but definitely on the cheaper side, quality wise. The medal is super generic and was on a plain yellow ribbon. It stands out (not in a good way) from all of the Flying Pig produced race medals I’ve collected. The course is a flat sidewalk through a not very scenic park. This race is fine, but I doubt I’ll do it again in the future.
