Course is full of natural beauty. Nice sampling of road and trail – all the while in mostly forested, shaded surroundings. The hills are not long, but you will need to train if you are a flatlander like me! Vacation Races definitely kept the party going and it felt like a celebration at the finish! Well done. Plan to stay and visit Mt Rainier National Park. It is exceptional this time of year!

This course is for you if you like scenic farmland and nature, not crowds. Coming from flatland Florida, the rolling hills and banked roads took a bit of a toll over the 26.2, but were manageable. Easy to stay in Napa and bus to the start – super well organized. Other pros: nicest race bag ever – will actually keep and reuse it. Cons: need more port-o-lets at the start, and more artistic shirt/medal. Would recommend this race, especially paired to a wine lover.
