Such a great race! The beginning is gorgeous up on the mountain, though I feel after getting past the halfway point it’s not as beautiful and the scenery is just desert. However, for this Arizonan it wasn’t a big deal. The aid stations were wonderful, with fun, helpful volunteers. The medal was beautiful, and the finish line festivities were so much fun! I ran revel mt Lemmon and felt like at that race it wasn’t as much fun but the energy at mt Charleston was something different. Other runners were all congratulating each other and talking and it made my second marathon (first marathon running with my mom) a great experience.
