I have been running the Flying Pig full marathon for the past 5 years, and it is always a great production. I tell my friends (only partly joking) that the Flying Pig has ruined me for other races, because nothing can ever quite compare! This year (2023) the weather was, honestly, awful. I know that the race director was faced with some tough decisions that day and I feel that the organization did as good of a job as they could have, given the circumstances. This was by no means my best FP experience, but I was amazed at how well-supported the course was even in poor conditions, and also impressed with the number of Cincinnatians who still showed up to support the runners!

Just like the Flying Pig, this race is always so well-supported, in both a technical sense (plenty of bathrooms, water stops, bike guides, medical, and snacks) AND in the sense that the city will come out to cheer you on! The course is a fairly challenging one, beginning with about 2.5 miles of uphill running, but once you make it to Eden park the remainder of the race is mild, rolling hills.
