This was the hardest race I’ve ever “run”. The course is extremely difficult with very very steep climbs. I had trained to run the 50k, but I wasn’t prepared for the terrain and dropped down to the 25k. It was very difficult, but I’m ready to go back and crush it next year.
The production was great, the race director is very nice and organized and passionate about what he does. The volunteers were friendly and encouraging.

I love the shirt and medal! The course was mostly on back roads and through neighborhoods, it felt like a long group run. The aid stations were spaced a little further apart than I would’ve preferred. The first station was not until 3.2 miles. They originally told us that there would not be powerade at the aid stations until the marathoners turned around, but there was powerade at all stations from the beginning. Overall, this was a fun and fast course that I would do again.

This was a really unique race. They market it as “family picnic with some running” and that is what it felt like. The course goes through a park and in order to do the half marathon you have to do 5 “laps” of it. There is an aid station right in the middle with candy, cookies, gu, water, Gatorade, etc. Everything ran very smoothly and the people were all really nice and encouraging. You get a hat or a visor with your entry and then can buy additional merch at checkout. It was so hot, I don’t know if anyone could PR at this race. Pretty much everyone was walking at one point or another. Overall, a fun experience, just very different.

You start at the beach and run most of the race through Gulf State Park. It was absolutely beautiful, pretty flat. There wasn’t a lot of swag in the race bag, but the shirt is a nice long-sleeve dry fit shirt. I really enjoyed this race, I would run again for sure.

This is an absolutely beautiful course. You run from the town center in Santa Rosa into Seaside and then turn around. There were plenty of aid stations and the swag bag was awesome. The race t-shirt is one of my favorite shirts.
One negative thing is the road is kind of sloped to one side, so you’re never running on level ground. It was also pretty hot, but it’s the beach so that should be expected.
