Starting the morning running through the glacier basin of Missoula is beautiful in itself, then when you climb into the hills the view opens up and the forest and river are just stunning.
A man in a tux playing the piano in his front field? YES! he was incredible, as were the thousands of fans and spectators and volunteers ACTIVELY cheering you on during this race.
Water and aid stations are perfectly timed in the later half of the race.
