This race is one of my faves. It’s a fast, easy to access, well-supported and organized race. The medals are always awesome and we even get to vote on them beforehand 🙂
They have amazing volunteers at the water stations, registration tables, and the finish line. Really, all volunteers, even those unseen, were absolutely awesome! My husband and I truly appreciate the amount of support and the level of enthusiasm at this race. Also amazing- the traffic control team. They are always in full support of the runners and still try to keep traffic moving. They are quick to defend the event to all those crabby drivers. They do what can be an icky job with a kick-ass attitude. Love them!
Plus- there were plenty of food and beverage choices at the end of the race, and we were allowed to get seconds. I had to wait quite a bit for my husband, who was struggling, and the food and drinks kept my blood sugar level and helped rehydrate me after an awesome PR run. We ❤️ the Ventura Marathon! Great swag too!
