I am from out of state and visit family in Fort Worth several times a year. This year I made a point of scheduling a trip in order to run the Cowtown 5K (I ran the 10K and half virtually back home). In the county where I live there haven’t been any in-person races, so this was a real treat. Considering the times we are in (due to COVID), I thought the Cowtown folks put on a great, well managed, fun race. The course support was wonderful for the 5K, so I assume the same could be said for the 10K and half. My 5K medal was fabulous and the virtual medals I received were also top-notch. The 10K and half medals I saw around the necks of other participant were enviable. I’m looking forward to returning again next year for this fabulous event.

This was my third WDW Marathon Weekend (did Dopey in 2018, “just the marathon in 2019, and Goofy in 2020). By far, the 2020 races were the most grueling and the officials cut the marathon course short at some point due to the heat, which was a wise decision. Course support was good and the medals that I got were great! Despite the heat and doing the half the day before, I was still able to get a PR on the marathon (my 4th in 4 years at the age of 66), running the entire course BEFORE it was shortened.
