This is a great race to test your speed. It’s on a flat, paved trail with lovely scenery. The race is well organized, and I felt it was a good size — not too crowded to have to fight the masses, but a nice, lively atmosphere. Parking was easy, and the races all started right on time. The only suggestion I have is adding a few more outhouses.
And finisher ice cream needs to be more of a thing!

This is a great race to test your speed. It’s on a flat, paved trail with lovely scenery. The race is well organized, and I felt it was a good size — not too crowded to have to fight the masses, but a nice, lively atmosphere. Parking was easy, and the races all started right on time. This race is awesome. The people running are great, the production is smooth. The swag is nice, usable t shirt and a great medal. Strategically placed hydration stations. Would like to see a few more bathroom pods available. I appreciate all the after race refreshments that are available to get you going again. Overall fantastic.

Number one is the bling. The medals are always pretty and they give little extras if you’ve run the race before. Number two is the production. There are no hitches at all. Starts on time. Lots of course support. Course is well marked. The course is mostly flat on bike paths and very pretty, with some overpasses and underpasses. Post race snacks are good. Free photos. There are always 4-5 Ben & Jerry’s flavors to choose from at the end. 4 hotels are literally across the street from the start/finish if you’re coming from out of town. What more could you ask?

Runners and walkers! The Sugar Daddy race is the race I picked for my first 10k in more than 3 years and it did not disappoint. The medals are gorgeous and fun. The course is scenic and the inclines very doable. The finish line is my favorite part of the race participants run across the bridge to the finish! fun experience!

I’m always excited about the Sugar Daddy race! I ran the half for the first time in 2018, then the 10K in 2023, and returned for the half again this year in 2023. I was reluctant to register because I had not trained at all! But it was such a fun race, just as I knew it would be! The course is mostly flat, the runners are very diverse in experience, and the volunteer support is awesome. This was also my third or fourth time volunteering at the race and it was awesome seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones. Terry and Jenny (New Global Adventures owners) take such great care of the volunteers and runners. The medals are awesome – very huge and flashy, and the shirts are always high-quality. I can go on and on, but I won’t! The point is, if you’re wondering whether or not you should register for Sugar Daddy or any other New Global Adventures race, the answer is YES. It’s a very good time!

This is my second year running the Sugar Daddy Race. I had a great experience last year and this year as well. Weather was perfect, the scenery is amazing. The people’s energy were so positive and motivating. At every station the volunteers were cheering for everyone. I recommend this race and I will be returning next year.😁

They start the races on time, to the second. Good music at the finish line, several bell ringers along the course, several aid stations, and lots of company. The trail was wide enough to easily push a stroller, and the ice cream after the race is a real treat. Lots of good sponsors/advertisers, relevant products, and great refueling available. This is the first race that I said I want to do again immediately.

I’ve done each distance of this race and I like them all! I did the half today for the first time and it’s a great course. Challenging enough, good shade on the course, and small enough to not have the path crowded. You do have to watch out for bikes, but that’s about it.

If you’ve never done a 10k or 5k this is a great place to start. I can’t speak to the 1/2 marathon only because I’ve never done one. The course is well marked. Parking is easy. The scenery is pretty, despite being in town you feel like you’re out in nature for most of it is on trails. Plus it’s cool to get ice cream at the end. It IS hot in June, so dress accordingly. I saw some people in tank tops but if you don’t want to get sun burnt a loose long sleeve might be better, a cap with a brim, sun screen etc., don’t be afraid to stop for water. There are lots of well placed aid stations.

This is a great event for first timers and families. They even have shirts for the kids race!

On the other hand the course was poorly marked at certain points with a half dozen runners going the wrong way at one point. The swag was the worst I have ever received and I just tossed it in trash. They didn’t have the right size shirts. While it was a beautiful experience there are many areas for improvement.
