Road was angled/slanted so my IT band and quads took most of the weight. Lots and lots of hills! So do a lot of hill training! Gets super windy and cold make sure u have something warm! But love the views! Had to stop and take lots of photos!

Lots of single track and fire roads. Fire roads was sand and thick sand so hard to run on. Almost 9 miles of boulder climbing up and down. Make sure to pay attention to the ribbons that is marking your race. Need a hydration pack for sure! That is a must!

Awesome downhill race to help BQ. Started at higher elevation so was super cold! But by mile 17-18 it starts to get hot and sun is out! U are also dealing with traffic because roads are open. Once u see the zoo sign u know it’s almost done!
