Ran this HalfM for the 7th year in a row! Still mesmerized by the amazing scenery that I have to pinch myself and rub my eyes every single time! The organizers keep it simple and smooth! Registering one year ahead for $65 is such a great deal considering what you get in exchange- world class views, very friendly volunteers, gorgeous medals and a shirt I am actually proud to wear around town! A Band at the Finish Expo would be an awesome addition as long as it doesn’t increase the Reg. Fee! Course wise – the Flat areas are where you can speed up then the Hilly parts are where you walk… I felt very safe the entire race which is very important to me. Thank you GG Half – See you in 2020!!!

The chance to run the Golden Gate Bridge is hard to pass up…but you pay for it in 1,200+ foot elevation gain. The Expo seemed smaller this year but the race itself was huge! One line for post-race food has to be improved along with Bag Check craziness. Hand the banana and bar along the Finish Line Chute for better flow. The Great Meadow post race Festival was much better than years past!

Great Course, excellent organization, unlimited water & gatorade & gel at aid stations, and beautiful Medal —- but I don’t think much thought was put into jamming 3,000 runners into 2 blocks of a small downtown Livermore! The vendor booths were too close to each other and noone really knew where each line started!
