Wine Country Runs, founded in 1997, is a non-profit whose purpose is to support local charities and youth sports organizations in Northern San Luis Obispo County! The Half Marathon is set along picturesque country roads and vineyards in beautiful Paso Robles, California. The new 10K course is a 6.2 mile out-and-back run that is sure to be challenging for beginning runners, or those who cannot commit to a half marathon training schedule.
The Wine Country Runs is set in the heart of California’s scenic Central Coast, an area famous for wineries, natural hot springs, pristine beaches, Hearst Castle and much more. Starting and ending at the beautiful CaliPaso Winery & Villa, the mostly paved course takes you over rolling hills, through picturesque vineyard roads and down along the Salinas River.
Each participant will receive a complimentary finishers medal, commemorative runners shirt, wine glass and more! A post race party will be held at the event venue with music, food, wine and beer.
The First Place male and female Half Marathon finishers will each WIN THEIR WEIGHT IN WINE! Approximately a $1,500 value of some of the best wines in Paso Robles.
