War Eagle Trail Run

The War Eagle Trail Run is the end result of several trail enthusiasts joining forces to create something special. As the only trail run allowed at Hobbs State Park, the War Eagle is very unique and allows both beginner and experienced trail runners a chance to view the beautiful area while taking part in an event in which proceeds benefit the very trail they’re running. Each year proceeds benefit the Rogers Lions Club and Friends of Hobbs.

Over the years this event has grown by leaps and bounds with 700 runners expected this year. Our event has been recognized by Competitor group as the Best Trail Race in the South Region four the last four years. And the highly coveted race shirt has been voted the Best Race Shirt in the region multiple times. 

The Hobbs War Eagle Trail Running Festival began back in 2006 as a 10 mile trail race with a couple dozen participants. During the first few years the event was known as the Hobbs Tail Twister benefiting the Rogers Lions Club. We are grateful for the continued support from our runners and are very proud of the thousands of dollars that have been raised for two very worthwhile local non-profit groups. Each year we strive to make it just a little better than the year before. The trails at Hobbs are among the most “runnable” in NW Arkansas. Not too technical or steep. Perfect for first time trail racers or veterans wanting to cover the trails as fast as possible. We love Hobbs, love our event and love our runners.
