All levels of runners and walkers are welcome on this 3.1 mile, chip timed course that will begin and end at Break-Away Billiards in Clinton, MA. Individual runners and teams will run or walk through the Greeley Hill area where you’ll pass by UMass Memorial Clinton Hospital and St. John’s Cemetery before entering Lancaster briefly then turning on to Main Street to head back to where it all began.
Fundraising is optional, but we hope everyone will take advantage of the opportunity to create a fundraising page and ask friends, family, and co-workers to support you and WHEAT Community Connections.
All levels of walkers and runners are welcome on this fun, family friendly 3.1 chip timed course that will be followed by:
• 1 Beer included in registration fee for participants 21+. (Photo ID will be required)
• FREE pictures from photo booth
• Cash prizes for top M/F in 8 age groups
• Great raffle items
• Live entertainment
• Post-race refreshments
What will your registration and fundraising dollars do?
WHEAT Community Connections provides a weeks worth of groceries each month to help stretch our clients food dollars. Hot, nutritious meals are served five nights a week at our Café, and during the holidays we provide a Thanksgiving turkey and all the trimmings to clients so they can cook and enjoy a holiday dinner at home with their family. We make sure our client’s children have backpacks full of school supplies each September, and holiday gifts at Christmas. WHEAT’s Senior Mobile Market, in partnership with the Clinton Senior Center, picks-up homebound seniors five nights a week and brings them to our café to ensure they’re eating a nourishing meal and can socialize with their peers. We also connect clients with case management services to apply for fuel assistance, emergency services, Mass Health, SNAP benefits and information and referral to other local agencies. WHEAT also has a Thrift Store which provides residents with low-to-no cost clothing and household goods.
From the entire WHEAT team, thank you for your support!!
