The Transgrancanaria Classic is like life itself. It consists of 126 kilometers and almost 7,000 meters of positive elevation gain that transport you to a world of physical and psychological sensations that unfold as the hours go by. It’s tough, but as our claim says, ‘A goal, A dream.’ Maspalomas awaits with open arms to welcome you after 12, 15, 20, or 30 hours that seem like a lifetime.
The main event, the Classic, will count towards the international Gran Canaria World Trail Majors circuit, along with nine of the most important ultra-distance races in the world.
More than 2,500 runners from outside the Canary Islands will travel to the island to participate in any of its eight modalities, a number that represents 55% of the total number of registered participants.

Start is in Tunte, a small village in the mountains of Gran Canaria, which is probably the most popular island of the Canary Islands. Finish is in Tejeda. It‘s a VERY tough race as elevation is +1425 and -1300 meters! It‘s so steep that it’s hard to even run! The organisation is very good except of missing signage for bag drop and also return busses. Weather can be very different. This year we were lucky and it was sunny and quite mild/warm, but it can also be very gusty and cold. The race is very popular in the trail running scene as it‘s one of the hardest. The half marathon takes place on Thursday, the marathon on Friday and the 126k on Saturday.
