This was my first ever trail run and it was phenomenal. The beginner friendly distances drew me in after having raced with them in May at their half marathon.
I really liked having the option to race shorter or longer but without feeling as though my only option was a half marathon or longer.
The mountains and trails were incredibly beautiful and the post race food was tasty. The staff made the morning feel well organized but calm with a relaxed and friendly vibe.
I’ll be back this year to try my strength on the 10 mile course!

The 10 mile was a real challenge for me but I crossed the finish line with a smile. I am signing up again shortly to see if I can PR against myself from last year.

This was my first trail race and it did NOT disappoint. The hills were challenging but the state park views made it completely worth it.
The course was well marked, aid stations were stocked and encouraging and the chocolate chip pancakes at the finish line were perfect.
They have a 5K distance too which is great for beginners. I wanted to challenge myself a bit with the 5 mile course though.
