The Guv’nor Frozen 50

The core running season may be over but it’s not time to take it easy just yet. This is named The Guv’nor Frozen 50 for a reason. You not only have to take on Old Man Winter but “The Guv’nor” has quite a battle awaiting those who dare challenge her authority. With an average elevation profile of 136ft of accent per mile (across all distances), this relentless grind requires you to turn on your inner “Guv’nor” and enter the power struggle. Do you have what it takes to overthrow “The Gov’nor”? ​

The Driftless Area Land Conservancy (DALC) is leading the building of the Driftless Trail which is a planned 50-mile loop connecting Tower Hill, Governor Dodge, and Blue Mounds State Parks. This is a foot-only trail, to be used for hiking, running, snowshoeing, or cross country skiing wandering through the woods, prairies, farms, bluffs and streams of Iowa County’s Driftless landscape. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to DALC for support of this project.
