Strong Like Sarah 5K

On the evening of Thursday July 30th, 2020, Sarah and three of her friends were driving back from Bear Lake and were involved in a head-on collision with a drunk driver. All were wearing seat belts. All suffered different injuries. Sarah had to be life-flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital where she lost 30% of her intestines, was confirmed paralyzed from the waist down, and had to have both legs amputated at mid thigh. Sarah has an incredibly difficult road ahead but we know she has the heart and the grit to turn this tragedy into something beautiful and inspiring.

This 5K is being put on to raise funds to help cover Sarah’s medical bills. Because of Covid-19 there are restrictions on the number of participants we can have in this race. All racers agree to not show up at the race if they are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19. Contact information for all participants will be collected in the event that contact tracing is necessary. Depending on the status of Utah at the time of the race we could incorporate starting waves, to facilitate smaller groups.

All racers will receive a finishers medal! Top 3 overall finishers and top finisher in each age group will receive a T-Shirt!
