The course is mostly along the Ralston Creek Trail…it’s a plus since you can train on it before the actual race but it’s narrow at points so it can get crowded. There are a couple climbs throughout the race, so be aware. When I ran it in 2018, it was an extremely windy day. 3W Races generally puts on good races and this was no exception.

The course goes through the concrete trails around and West of the Apex Rec. Center. Nice challenge inclines and a few moments of rough trails with tire ruts. For the slower runners, vendors at start finish line had packed up and left before the three hour. One of the deals for beer with your bib at a brewery in old towne Arvada; was useless because they were not open. So we enjoy full price coffee, at nice little coffee shop.
