This course was on a path that I train on often. I train on it because it has hills, and I have learned to love them. I also love that this was a loop course and it is a through a beautiful area of Golden. This was my first time running their spring race, but I have also participated in their fall race and had a great time. I love that there is no time limit so anyone can feel comfortable participating. I also love that they give donations to the National Kidney Foundation.
The after party was great in that they offered breakfast burritos, fruit and chocolate milk (a lot more offerings than I’m used to). There were also a couple of bodywork companies offering stretching and massage. And I loved having a coffee/smoothie truck – I wish that was complimentary but still nice to have on site. A local brewery offered a free drink and further after party, which I wasn’t able to make it to, but I thought was a very nice option.
The swag is okay… I prefer tech t-shirts but I love that they give you the “no swag” option that allows you to save money on your entry fee. I turned around and donated that savings to the National Kidney Foundation instead.
The race was well-organized, fun, easy-going, and I will definitely run with this company again.
One of my best times
