Spook Hill Cider and Wine 4 Mile Run

The South Mountain Heritage Society (SMHS) Spook Hill Cider & Wine 4 Mile Run utilizes a unique mix of road and cross country terrain. Participants will run (or walk) through historic Burkittsville, up the slight incline of Spook Hill into Boordy Winery’s South Mountain Vineyard, through historic Union Cemetery, and the Distillery Lane Ciderwork’s Orchard. This is your chance to run the Biggest “little” Race In Maryland!

Visit the participating wineries/cideries/eateries on the Spook Hill Wine Trail post-run! Come for the run, stay for the wine!

Overland Timing will be bib-chip timing the finish line. Overall and age group awards will be calculated via “gun” time. Note: All awards will be based on “gun” time.

Each participant will receive a commemorative wine glass. Run finishers will receive a unique, wine-themed finisher’s medal. Cotton tee-shirts can be ordered for a nominal fee during the registration process.
