So I am a repeat runner at Silvermoon and I love it! The first year our run club ran in Paso Robles, we had 8 teams of 4 people. We all had a blast! The coordination of this race is top notch. They have tons of snacks and the race folks are amazing! I’ve also ran Reedley TWICE as it is close to home and I just absolutely love this race! I am a legacy runner and I plan to hold onto that as long as I can! Do it! You will surprise yourself at what you can do!

I ran it twice and will definitely do it again. The course is pretty easy and it’s so cool to run through the trees. Sunrise and sunset are just amazing, and that silver moon is wow! But the most important is the crew. They do everything to make the race great, I’ve never met such supportive people before. They make every runner feel like a champion. I love it and appreciate it. Highly recommended to everyone who wants to have a great time while running in a beautiful place surrounded by kind and supportive people. 100 of 100.

I had no idea this race existed in my own backyard. I live 10 miles down the road and found out about it on a whim. I am so glad I spontaneously signed up for it. Although I didn’t perform how I wanted to, the race was top-notch.
The aid stations were among some of the best I’ve seen. They had such a wide spread of options to keep every person happy. One of the best things about this race was how organized it was. The pre-race emails were so detailed that I didn’t have to worry about logistics once I got to the race… I could just run. I also love the amount of photos they took. I have been running races for a few years and this is the first race where I had multiple good photos taken of me. Thank you so much for a positive first-race experience!

This race is absolutely amazing in many regards and really has the potential to get big in coming years. The RD and volunteers were fantastic and created a fun and welcoming environment. The beautiful 2.5 mile loop through the vineyards was the perfect length to get into a rhythm and see other runners/ crews without being too monotonous. Tons of open space for camping… and with the various distances available, this would be a super fun race to bring a group of friends… almost has a Born to Run / Run Woodstock vibes and the community is top notch. Super PRable as well. Don’t sleep on this one… hopefully it becomes a mainstay on the ultra calendar.

This is the third time I have run a Silver Moon race, once again it is now my favorite short looped (easy) “ultra” race that has so many amazing aspects…from the really great courses (one on a winery and the other at a farm), with an easy to navigate course where you have access to your car ON COURSE with a PHENOMENON aid station, superb volunteers and by far the best actual real food I have ever had at a race, now I’m just waiting for the next one!

I looked forward to the egg rolls the most. Not sure if it’s because I’m Chinese or just because I love egg rolls, but that is a favorite for me!
The course is easy to follow, and in roughly a figure 8. Loops are mentally challenging for me. 10 miles to go? Easy. But 4 loops to go?? Oh no!
The RDs and the volunteers are wonderful and their swag is the best! I’ll definitely return to either run or crew (or both).

I love this race because being a 2.5 mile lap course, all you need to do is focus on running! The lap course allows you to challenge yourself safely compared to some other ultra trail races in the mountains and backwoods. Running during sunset is pretty, but when the full moon came it, running was simply tranquil.

The aid station was fully stocked and loaded with a wide variety of food and drinks.

The race directors, staff, and volunteers were amazing! Always motivating and there to support the runners. They truly made this race phenomenal!

I highly recommend this race for all runners. It is just an amazing experience to run in a beautiful place under the full moon!

Many people do not like looped courses, especially when they are smaller loops, but the environment that these RD’s create is one of a kind. The sense of love and community within a foot race has never been more felt than in this race. Lots of support, food choices, new friends, set-up areas and options to move up or down in distance if needed. I highly recommend this race to anyone.

The aid station was more than anyone can ever ask for. Fully stocked with awesome people taking care of every possible need any runner might have. It was my first 24 hour race. I think is the perfect platform for any runner to test his/her endurance. It is always a beautiful experience running from the sunset under the full moon into the sunrise with your friends and family cheering you every 2 miles. I loved having my tent on the side of the course where I could rest and freshen up as I needed. My favorite part was the attention from the race directors and all the volunteers. Aside from all the “normal” race foods, they provided warm breakfast and lunch. I love the medal! My performance was not the best since I was nursing some health issues but because of the race format, I was able to get my 42miles while taking care of myself as to not get injured. I took long naps during the night and long breaks during the day. It was perfect because you can do as little or as much as you want and no timeline pressure.

I highly recommend this race to anyone that enjoys camping, nature, stars and full moons. In the end of the race, you feel like you know everyone on the course.

Having always wondered how far or fast I could run if I didn’t have to worry about not finishing was the primary motivation for signing up. The volunteers are incredible, the course is serene during the day and full of life at night. A PD officer played the rocky theme for 30 minutes, a volunteer joined me for a loop when I was feeling beat down. Every two miles I got to see my family and it was incredible. I would love to go back. The towel is unique and a really good size.

This is the second Silver Moon race and my second time running the 24 hour category. I brought my family the first year and they felt so much love from the race directors and their awesome volunteers that they begged me to run it again this year. This is a great race for many reasons. Obviously it’s family friendly and so easy to cheer and support your runner since they will pass you every two miles. It’s a great coarse, with scenery that never seems to get boring, despite seeing it every lap. The photographer becomes a good friend that you look forward to seeing each loop and produces amazing and memorable photos at no additional charge. The buffet of food to choose from at the aid station is ever changing and plentiful! The support is genuine and the experience is much more intimate. The finishers medal and swag are worth the final finish if everything I mentioned was not already enough. This is a race you should definitely consider as part of your training or as a goal race. Either way you will not be disappointed!
