Schloss Marienburg Marathon

The landscape Schloss Marienburg Marathon remains in the running calendar, organized by a “runner” (Heiner Schütte) mainly for “runners”, who also want to participate in a slightly larger marathon on Saturday before Totensonntag.

But even for beginners this run is suitable because it is very varied. You walk on village roads, paved and unpaved dirt roads, on forest roads and also on trails (hiking trails).

A highlight is certainly the refreshment center in the courtyard of the castle Marienburg, which invites you to rest.

The run of 21.1km is in principle in the form of a 8, so you come three times in Adensen to the refreshment center. With the Marienberg and the Harberg are also two smaller mountains on the program (about 500 meters). In good weather you have a good view of the Calenberger Land (as far as Hanover) and the Leinebergland.

There is still time for a little refreshment after the run.

The accompaniment is also provided. The Schloss Marienburg offers guided tours to match the run (duration approx. 60 minutes, warm clothing is recommended).
