Saddle Blazer

The Saddle Blazer course is typical central Texas trail. There will be nasty rocky sections, smooth runnable trail, hills, water crossings, and everything in between. Your shoes may get wet. There will be creek crossings on every distance. You will encounter some hills, but there are no long, extended climbs on any distance.

The marathon course starts at 7:30 am and runs the course in the following pattern: run the northern stretch of the Red Loop to the start of the Green Loop, run the Green Loop (follow the marathon cut-off shown in pink in the map below), regain the southern section of the Red Loop, run the Red Loop back to the Start/Finish, and then run the Blue Loop to finish your race.

The half-marathon starts at 8:30 am and runs the course in the following pattern: run the Blue Loop and then run the Red Loop. The Half Marathon never runs any part of the Green Loop. Don’t do it!!!!

The 10k starts at 9:30 am and runs one 6.5 mile lap of the Blue Loop.
