The course is a fairly flat course, which goes about halfway over the Tower Bridge (before making a U-turn), a short selection along the Sacramento River, and ends on the warning track of Raley Field.
If you start near the back, beware of all the walkers.On other races I have run, the congestion clears up before mile 1, but I was not able to get free of the pack until about mile 2.5.
The t-shirt and medal were pretty cool, and they provided lots of post-race snacks/

The course is a fairly flat course, which goes about halfway over the Tower Bridge (before making a U-turn), a short selection along the Sacramento River, and ends on the warning track of Raley Field.

Happy that I got to participate in the inaugural year of the addition of the Sacramento Giant Race to their 3 other races throughout the year. The Giant Race production team has this thing down and puts other race events to shame. Lots of parking, helpful staff, great energy amongst participants, and the coolest venue and race swag around. I don’t live in Sacramento so I came early and was easily able to pick up my race bib that morning. The organizers are extremely responsive and helpful via Facebook and email.

I’ve run all of the Giant races and so far this one is actually my favorite! This was the first year in Sacramento and they did a great job. The shirt and medal were super cute and the course was lovely. The only draw back for me was driving to Sacramento early for a race, other than that – great inaugural race!
