Running 4 Answers, a Race Against Alzheimer’s

“Running 4 Answers, a race against Alzheimer’s” is a 5k race and 2-mile fun run located in Roseland. We are USATF-sanctioned and part of the Grand Prix series.

“Running 4 Answers, a race against Alzheimer’s” came to be because my mom had early-onset Alzheimer’s. Unable to find a race benefitting the research of the disease, “R4A” was created. We have worked to host an event with three goals:

1) increase awareness of and money for Alzheimer’s disease
2) manage a great race and
3) create a fun community event.

We chose to donate our proceeds to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund. This organization was chosen because of its concentration solely on research.

The mission of Cure Alzheimer’s Fund is to fund research with the highest probability of slowing, stopping or reversing Alzheimer’s disease. So far, Cure Alzheimer’s Fund has contributed $88 million toward research and has identified more than 70 genes.
