Great course and I love this company/

I had some drinks with my honey the night before and I was not even going to go but I did and it was a mistake.

Great out and back course and a lot of fun. I ran the course in another race.

These guys do a great job.

I ran this in 2017 and 2018. It’s fun to have a theme like Rock n’ Roll where I dressed up as Courtney Love (ran in a dress!) and Willy Wonka (an umpa lumpa) and see all the other outrageous costumes people come up with. The last 2 years it was downtown, waterfront Portland and as I only ran the 5k, it’s just a down and back flat course. Last year, they tried to stop me running so a street car could go by. That’s hard to stop running completely and restart when you are running as fast as you can ( I got first in my division.) I am hoping the race moving to a new location this year will prevent runners from getting a PR if forced to stop running for traffic. The beer/cider, music, swag and snacks are all in a great party atmosphere.

    Pros:
    -Flat race
    -In downtown Portland
    -Musical mile very enjoyable
-Costumes! Fun costumes, creative people, great Halloween vibe!

    Cons:
-Do not go if you’re a Halloween grinch.
-The course is not interesting. But on the other hand what matters is you get to see the other competitors in costume, and to me that’s an awesome scenary. Did I mention the costumes?

Conclusion: What’s your excuse for not doing it? It’s seriously awesome if like me you like to see people dressed up (and also like to dress up). Even if you’re not a seasoned runner or are scared of running in costume, there’s a very approachable 5K variation. Just… Just do it! It was so much fun, I loved it and will definitely sign up again.
