Run for the Toad

The Run for the Toad race course traces two loops for the 25K event and 4 loops for the 50K starting and finishing at Tent City. This multi-purpose conservation area provides premiere trail running in a 70% natural environment. Carolinian Forest surrounding Kettle Lake with rolling grasshopper meadows and minimal rolling hard surface.

Tent City is the core site for the event. A host of tents for housing the race registration, the post-race dinner and awards ceremonies, the children’s theatre, the race sponsor tents, massage and medical support, chip timing, the speaker’s podium and the sponsor’s breakfast tent and more!

The Toad is vibrant; a dynamic trail race where fun combined with the trail racing takes place throughout Tent City – especially in 2018, as we are remodeling Tent City like never before. Our main tent will be the awe inspiring scale of the 21st century ultimate in temporary custom shelters, ensuring weather-tight protection in virtually all weather conditions.

The Toad isn’t just a trail race it is one of the great Canadian races. It also brings huge numbers of spectators and families. Then you have the sit down white table cloth post race dinner, children’s activities, the many complimentary amenities, great swag and Expo – so it’s also a race with executed planning and attention to the details.
