Robert’s Run exists to celebrate Robert Leonardi’s spirit by connecting our communities and supporting the Play Like Robert Foundation. Robert’s Run is a 10K, 5K and 1 mile run/walk in Hamilton, Montana, and the courses show off the beauty of the Bitterroot Valley! The 1 mile run/walk is stroller friendly. We suggest a large wheeled stroller for the 5K and 10K courses. Stay after the race and enjoy the family friendly festival including refreshments and games.
All in-person participants who register on or before the cutoff will be guaranteed a race t-shirt.
100% of all proceeds from Robert’s Run are allocated directly to the Play Like Robert Foundation.
The Play Like Robert Foundation is a non-profit that engages in charitable and educational activities. The Play Like Robert Foundation connects people through learning, play, and the courage to try. Its mission is to support various charitable organizations in the community, create engaging environments for children to get active, and support educational systems and resources.
The Play Like Robert Foundation in partnership with Ravalli County was awarded a Transportation Alternatives Grant for the construction of a pedestrian/commuter path from the beginning of the RAL Trail on Golf Course Road to Daly School. By participating in Robert’s Run you will help them complete this project to make Golf Course Road and Kurtz Lane safer for all.

This run was one of the most enjoyable runs I’ve ever participated in. I ran with two of my sons and one of their friends and they all commented on how fun and enjoyable the course was. It was run mostly on back roads, some of it was run on a trail. The trail was one of the best parts. There were two watering stations, which was plenty for the 10k. Lot’s of volunteers to cheer you on, make sure you stayed on course, and maintain safety in case something went wrong. There was only one hill that was fairly steep, but I didn’t train like I should have so it may not have been THAT steep! I will be running this race every year from this point forward. And if I can’t run it, I’ll become a volunteer! If you have never tried Robert’s run, you should do it at least once. You’ll probably become hooked!
