The Red, White and Zoom Triathlon Festival at Cowan Lake State Park is host to the 2020 Mideast Regional Multisport Championship. That means that everyone who participates in the aquabike or aquathlon of any distance at the event is eligible for Mideast Regional Multisport Championship age group awards from USA Triathlon. You can be crowned the Mideast Regional Aquabike or Aquathlon Champ!
We also invite triathletes, duathletes and open water swimmers to join us in any of our 7 other events. Everyone receives a commemorative t-shirt in men’s and women’s cut, post race pizza and beer, and a cool finisher medal. Triathlon and duathlon participants, your finish place can qualify you for Age Group Nationals in each of those sports. Red, White and Zoom welcomes over 300 athletes each year, making it a great event to find fun competition as well as a good chance at earning your Age Group Nationals Qualification spot. All ages and abilities are welcome!
Overview
Considered a hidden gem of the Ohio Parks, Cowan Lake State Park offers a unique challenge to racers, to tackle hills and flats on this scenic course. This is the only race in Ohio to offer triathlons, duathlons, aquabikes (swim bike only) and aquathlons (swim run only), in distances for all ages and abilities including beginner, sprint, olympic and 1/3 iron. There is a race for all ages and abilities. Everyone can celebrate their accomplishment with a cool finisher medal and lifestyle tee (in men’s and women’s cut), and party after the event with music, pizza, beer (we also have soda and water), family and friends! This is more than just a race, it’s an experience!

Race Shirts
The shirts will be short sleeve lifestyle tees in Men’s Cut and Women’s Cut, with an option for a tank top / sleeveless tee. To be guaranteed a race tee, you must register at least 2 weeks in advance of the race.

Post Race Party
After the race, all finishers can share in beer, soda, water, pizza, PB&J, snacks and more! There will be cold towels, music, finisher medals, a photo booth, and lots of fun with family & friends!
Parking and Restrooms
There will be parking available by the beach and at the ranger station. There are portable and stalled restrooms at the beach as well.
In-Race Photos & Photo Booth
We will have a photographer out on course to take your pictures while you race. Then after your race you can pose with your friends, family and team at our FREE photo booth. We will post all pictures on Facebook after the race for you to like, tag and share!
