Pawapalooza K9-5K

Pawapalooza is the annual event that raises funds for the medical treatment of sick, injured, and orphaned animals in the care of Boone County Animal Care & Control. Each year this event enables us to expand our ability to care for and save the lives of animals.

The day begins with the K9-5K run at England-Idlewild Park. At noon, the action moves down the road to the beautiful Boone County Fairgrounds for a fun-filled afternoon for adults, kids and pets alike. Come out and Run/Walk with or without your pet at our annual Pawapalooza K95K Star Wars Edition. Wear your favorite Star Wars outfits and Run Your Buns Off. It will raise funds for the shelter, which several years ago made the commitment to eliminate euthanasia of all treatable animals, meaning that resources of time and support, and especially of money, have become even further stretched than ever before.
