Otawara Marathon

The Otawara marathon will be “paused” for three years from Reiwa 2 (2020) to Reiwa 4 (2022). The latest information for the resumption will be announced as needed in “What’s New” on the race website.

The Otawara Marathon has set a strict four-hour time limit as a citizen marathon, “cool” and “hard” runner. For the purpose of nurturing young athletes, in addition to dispatching some high-ranking winners in the marathon section to the Paris marathon, if you win the championship record by updating the record of the convention, we will provide reinforcement training expenses.

As a feature of the event, there are services to provide special drinks for all runners at seven locations on the course, preparation of exclusive premises, arrangement of pace advisors for 3 hours and 3 hours 30 minutes. We are offering services to support runners who seriously tackle updating of self records such as distance display every 1 kilometer. The Otawara marathon will also have 30 tournaments this year. As part of the memorial project, we will create the “Bath Towel” for the first time in the history of the event as a “finisher item” and distribute it to the runners completed within the time limit of 4 hours.
