Avoid this race, the race director didn’t even bother to show up at the event. No official start line, just go!!! No medals at the finish, took 3-4 months to receive medals and had to email the race director if we wanted one. The race director was nasty in her response to my request for a medal. The water stops were mostly understaffed and if there was water, there were no cups. This race is one to avoid. There are many other races in Rhode Island. Although the race director wants you to run her race because it’s woman owned she orders her medals from China instead of purchasing locally.

Unorganized race on all levels. No response from Race Director on medals or a rude response if you get one. No day before bib pickup, late start, & I can go on. If you win Trimon Bucks for placing, GOOD LUCK cashing them in toward another one of their races.

I came from out of state to do this race, and it was absolutely disappointing. No official start line, no clock at finish line, no finishers medal as promised on web site, unmanned water stations, no gels on course as promised, no post-race refreshments, terrible communication from race “management”, any emails to the RD have been met with nasty responses. So not worth the $75 I paid for it.

I don’t like to be negative as races are hard to do and require a lot of time and volunteers. That being said, I was a little nervous with a vague and basic website, especially no emails prior to the race. Location was gorgeous, great day 32-40 degrees and mostly sunny, breezy but not bad. Run took us through town and through several nature preserves – I count birds on my runs and had 26 species plus a close look at a male coyote, good stuff.
It was a two loop race, on the second loop there were no people to guide on the turns. The aid stations were mostly unmanned, and the 2nd at mile 5 had no cups. They also had no safety pins until 20 minutes before race, which started 15 min. Late which not a big deal but it was chilly.
At the finish, I came across at a pr, no one was there, luckily the mat recorded my time. There was a case of water bottles and small bag of chips off to the side, no medals or promised extra swag for marathon finishers, or apology for this, but if we wanted we could take an extra T-shirt and last years medal, they stayed they would mail us medals, but you had to ask. No medical either.
If you want a gorgeous race to run with mostly no support and no swag, it was a fun one. Hope this is mostly objective and not sounding too bitter, just want to warn others.
