This was my first time running the Norton Sports Health 10k, and I did it as part of the Fall Runathon. The park itself was pretty, with nice views and varied terrain (mostly flat, but with several mild to moderate hills). It started later in the morning than I would have expected, which is not great during such a hot time of the year. The race shirts were bland, and the medals were pretty basic as well.

It wasn’t a bad race, but it wasn’t anything special. I would do it again if I signed up for another Fall Runathon, but wouldn’t sign up for this race on its own merits.

This race is no longer known as the Great Pumpkin. It is now the Norton Sports 10k. And the theme is maybe a fleur de Lis. Prolly won’t run this again. Views were decent, but not mind blowing, regular run through a park.

Rating is so low due to 11 porta-potties. 11. For over a thousand people. Cmon. I got there in plenty of time(add 15 minutes to get to the back of the park), but was late for the gun because I had to pee. Knew I wasn’t going for any sort of PR, so not super fussed about it.

There were some great course photogs and the pics were free, did have to flick through Facebook to find.

Also, bit strange, but I feel like I reviewed this last year along with some other folks, and no reviews are popping up 🤔
