New Paltz Challenge

The New Paltz Challenge half marathon features challenging running along the scenic Wallkill Valley Rail Trail south through the Yard Owl Brewery, and offers runners a bucolic New Paltz landscape with sweeping views of the Shawangunk Ridge, the town of Gardiner, farms, the Wallkill River, and Historic Huguenot Street, a National Historic Landmark District. The half marathon features chip timing plus all half-marathon finishers will receive medals or other commemorative mementos. The half marathon will be capped at 600 participants.

The 5K runs along Historic Huguenot Street and the Walkill Valley Rail Trail. This race is a combination of trail and road race.

All races have water stops, first place in age group prizes, and post-race refreshments.

Proceeds will benefit the New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce and its community projects.
