If you love running and you love chocolate, these races are for you! Our Mud & Chocolate races include well-marked trails, lots of chocolate, friendly people, chocolate medals and paid patronage to our beautiful parks (which keeps the parks alive).
In April and November, we’ll be at the Redmond Watershed, a real jewel of the Pacific Northwest! The Redmond Watershed is a beautiful park rich with old growth forests, well-groomed trails and moderately rolling hills. The 4.5 mile and the half marathon events will start at the same time and use the same loop course once inside the park. Half marathoners will make the loop three times, swinging by the aid station twice. This is a trail run so there will not be additional aid on the course. Please plan to carry whatever additional aid you might need. For those of you familiar with “the Watershed,” we’re skipping the biggest hills in the park and have opted for a more moderate course that we think beginners and advanced trail runners will both enjoy.
And as if nature weren’t sweet enough, we’re throwing chocolate into the mix! All finishers will be presented with a delicious chocolate medal and a full size gourmet Seattle Chocolates bar! Half marathoners will also receive a gorgeous, sparkly commemorative medal!
Sign up as a Chocoholic and run on both days at one of our Mud & Chocolate Weekends (April and November). You’ll run the 4.5 mile on Saturday and then come back Sunday for the Half Marathon. You’ll also get a special chocolate surprise, separate combined race results and two visits to CHOCOMANIA!

This was a fun and relatively easy course, with an awesome bonus of chocolate at the end. I took a wrong turn and ended up running 6+ miles (oops), but had fun nonetheless. The trail was very beautiful and well maintained.
