Mablethorpe Marathon

2018 EVENT CANCELED. From race website: “It is with great regret that we have today had to make the decision to cancel the Mablethorpe Run Events due to take place on 21st October 2018. The decision is due to a number of factors: 1) The number of Runners entering the Race and the financial impact that will have and 2) Ever increasing costs of delivering such an Event. We have forecasted that the event would be running with a considerable Financial shortfall which would not only mean that it would not be sustainable but also, we would not be able to give money to Charities as we had agreed with the previous Organisers.

We apologise to those of you that have trained with this Event in mind and wish you success in finding an alternative Event.”

Lincolnshire’s only Full Marathon approved by UKA and to BARR Gold Standard. The Mablethorpe Marathon also incorporates a Half Marathon and 5K. The Mablethorpe Marathon is a non profit event run by volunteers and is proud to be known by it’s participants as “the friendly one”.

Located on the Lincolnshire Coast between Cleethorpes and Skegness, Mablethorpe offers an unusually flat course helping runners achieve a personal best.

There are plenty of accommodation options and places to eat and drink, a two screen 3D, digital cinema, popular wildlife attraction and arcades with soft play areas and full sized 10 pin bowling. And don’t forget our miles of unspoiled sandy beaches which are perfect for a quite walk in autumn – especially if you have a four legged friend!
