Endless Endurance is thrilled to bring the Loopy Looper 12 hour challenge to Cooper River Park. This is a first of its kind timed event at this location and is designed to be a personal challenge that anyone of any skill level can take on. Don’t think you could run for 12 hours straight? No problem! If you are someone that wants to run one loop at the start, take a break for a bit and then go back out, that’s absolutely fine and we encourage it! Not ready to take on 12 hours by yourself? We are offering a relay option! Get some friends and take this on as a 4 runner team!
The race will be held on a 3.75 mile loop on a paved path around Cooper River Park. The course is mostly flat and you will run as many loops of it as you can/want in 12 hours. This is one of the fastest looped courses in the country and a great chance to put in some serious mileage.
Runners will have the hours of 7am – 7pm to run as many laps of the 3.75ish mile loop around Cooper River Park as you want. Partial laps will not be counted, no new laps will be allowed to start as of 6:30 PM, and all loops MUST be completed by 7:00 PM for mileage to count. This rule requires some level of strategizing for the runners.
There will be one fully stocked aid station at the Start/Finish area with all the typical things like chips, candy, PB&J, baked goods, water, soda, and much more.
This race is a cupless race. This means we do not plan to have a ton of plastic cups for you waiting at the aid stations. Please plan to bring a bladder/pack, water bottle, or reusable cup to use for the day. Volunteers will not be touching your stuff this year. Runners will have to open their bottle, pack, cup, or whatever you have and hold it out for the volunteers to fill it up for you.
All runners will receive a finisher’s award, buff, and a t-shirt that includes the race logo below. Earn a skeleton runner to attach to your medal for 10-15-20 loops completed. There will be awards for the top Male/Female of the event.
Come join us for a day of fun and adventure on a loop that has a spectacular view of the Philadelphia skyline.
