Landmarks Half Marathon

One of Cape Town’s most scenic half marathons takes place the first Sunday in November. The 21.1km route of the The Landmarks Half Marathon in Proud Association with SANParks offers a challenging and scenic route past key landmarks in the Southern Suburbs, incorporating heritage sites, world-class sporting facilities, and the tranquil surrounds of Western Province Cricket Club, Sports Centre where the race starts and finishes. It also offers a 6km fun run/walk incorporating the School Challenge.

The event is becoming a firm favourite amongst runners in Cape Town as it offers a challenging route and takes participants past key landmarks in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs. Some of the landmarks include: Rondebosch Common, Mosterts Mill, University of Cape Town, Rhodes Memorial, Newlands Forest, Josephine Mill, Newlands Brewery, Newlands Rugby Stadium and Sahara Park. Barristers Grill in Newlands has been chosen as The Landmark for 2017 and is represented on the Half Marathon Medal.
