Really great race. The 10K route takes you around Dodger Stadium, down the hill aways, and then back up, then further up, then down. Approximately 450 feet of elevation gain and loss in 10K is no joke, but I think that’s part of the charm of the race. The start of the race was actually just after sunset, but they do a really good job of placing floodlights around the route to light things up. I used a headlamp just in case, but I don’t feel like I needed it much.
I picked up my packet approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes prior to the start of the race. There was also the option to come to Dodger Stadium and pick up your packet the day before the race. Packet pickup was for the most part really well organized. There was a bottleneck for the 5K packet pickup that made it a bit difficult to exit the packet pickup area, but I think having pickup outdoors would have caused further problems since it was such a windy day.
The finisher medal was really cool…a model of a Dodger Stadium seat. They also give you a really nice shirt, a Clayton Kershaw bobblehead, and a huge bag of protein powder. I wasn’t a big fan of the fruit punch flavored beer at the beer garden after the race, but it was a free perk, and that is just my personal taste.
Overall, I feel like this is a really good local race, and that it’s well worth it to sign up and run.

This was my first time doing this race and it was great experience from start to finish. The pre-race communications were clear & simple, pre-race packet pick up was easy breezy! It was nice that they offered concessions and a discount in the team store while picking up your packet at Dodger Stadium. While the course was challenging with lots of hills outside of the stadium, the heavy home plate-shaped finisher’s medal (which was 2-sided) was totally worth the struggle! The tech shirt was also very nice and the expo had lots of great vendors and activities for the kids. This is a very family-friendly event for both serious runners and walkers. Will definitely do it again next year!

I did both races (10K and 5K). The courses were the same while on Dodger Stadium, the only difference was that the 10K runners got to deal with the hills near Elysian Park. Packet pickup was well organized, I picked mine up race morning. No bag or other items, just a nice tech T and a bib w/ built-in timing chip. The medal was also very nice. Runners got to hang out inside the stadium as well. Overall a great event with great volunteers, just be ready for some hills if you do this.

Overall it was a fun race with lots of enthusiasm but you NEED to do a lot of hill training. Wish it would have started earlier because it got hot real fast. My only criticism is that there was not enough water stations. I would run it again.
