This race was smaller in scale and felt more relaxed than other races I’ve done. Communication from the race team was great pre-race and post-race. Krampus was there to creep us out and make us run a little faster. I would definitely run another Sasquatch Racing race in the future.

First time running the Krampus 5k and first time running at the Presidio in San Francisco. We had pouring the previous day, so the course was muddy and slick in spots. Beautiful views of the ocean and Golden Gate Bridge. The 5k measures about 3.3 miles with about 320 ft of climbing which seems to be mostly in the beginning of the race. Most of the course is on packed dirt with some pavement. There were two road crossings each way on the out and back. They had SF police and course monitors to stop traffic and tell you which way to go. There was no fear of getting lost. The course was well marked. The 5k did not have an aid station. At the turnaround there was a course monitor giving out High 5’s. It was fun. At the finish, we received our woodallions and goodie bags filled with Hint Water, Kettle Chips, Mamma Chia, Perfect Bar, and candy. All runners received gender specific tech tees. Sasquatch Racing produces small races, but they are well organized.
