Event Highlights
5K Run: A challenge for adults to embrace their inner athlete and celebrate freedom.
1K Kids’ Fun Run: A joyful dash for the young ones, instilling the spirit of pursuit.
Registration is free and each participant will be awarded a special medal as well as a souvenir – a token of appreciation for their participation.
But that’s not all – there’s an exciting incentive for the winners! The top performers in the 5K race will be honored with special prizes, recognizing their remarkable achievement and determination.
About Thaddeus Kosciuszko
Born in 1746, his journey epitomized resilience. From his early days in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth to his pivotal role in the American Revolution, Kosciuszko’s impact echoed through time. He contributed not only to American victories but also stood against Russian oppression in his homeland, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Thaddeus Kosciuszko’s journey traversed continents, his impact left an indelible mark. He was a military genius, a statesman, and an advocate for liberty. His legacy lives on and inspires transatlantic cooperation and principles. He passed away in 1817.
Kosciuszko Freedom Run is hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington, D.C., the Embassy of Lithuania in Washington, D.C., and the Montgomery County Road Runners Club.
