Khanabadosh 100 – The Nomads Trail is a 100 Kms ultra trail race fully supported over two stages. The race is 90 percent on trails and mountain tracks and around 10 percent on road. The terrain is through hilly forests interspersed with streams and rivulets. The race venue is in Mashobra near the town of Shimla in India situated at 7000 feet and the runners will pass through a maximum altitude of 9500 feet. The race fee includes three nights lux accommodation, three banquet dinners, goody bags and a finishers medal. The runners will experience the Himalayan Spring first hand as they breath in the cool and crisp mountain air and pass through temples and mountain slopes bedecked with flowers. The route is fully marked with checkpoints at every 10 Kms approx. Water and refreshments and medical aid is available at all checkpoints.

Khanabadosh, as the name suggests, translates to gypsy or nomad in Persian. Khanabadosh is a unique luxury B&B owned and run by Geetika in Mashobra, Himachal Pradesh, India. Nestled in the lower Himalayas at an altitude of 7000 feet her B&B has over the years, become home to some of the countries top endurance athletes and trekking enthusiasts who frequently make it their training camp. The altitude and the terrain make it an ideal locale to train for competitions, not to forget the breathtaking natural beauty of Mashobra. Shali Tibba, home of the temple of Goddess Shali stands tall and overlooks the entire region. Many a visitor to Khanabadosh has looked at this majestic peak but few would venture out towards it. The best way to see a place is on foot, says Geetika. Completely in agreement with her were Arun, who is Indias top Ironman athlete and is on his way to the World Championships and Jagdeep who is an experienced Ultra Runner having done races across all the major deserts in the world. Together the three of them decided on putting together this spectacular race and showcasing the beauty of the mighty Indian Himalayas to participants from across the world. The race follows in the footsteps of ancient traders along the old Hindustan Tibet Road. Arun with his intimate knowledge of the terrain is the Course Director and Jagdeep with experience in ultra races is the Race Director. Geetika as the owner of the host venue is responsible for the entire race logistics including nutrition, accomodation,medical cover and runners safety. This boutique event is limited to 50 runners only and is a fully supported race over two stages.
