IRONMAN South American Championship Argentina

Let the charm of Argentina’s Mar del Plata lure you with its oceanfront promenade, beaches, and elegant architecture.

The IRONMAN in Argentine territory will be held in the city of Mar del Plata, close to Argentina´s capital city, Buenos Aires.

As a main aspect, after the evaluation made by the WTC (World Triathlon Corporation) and given the great acceptance that the last edition had among the triathletes of the whole world, the IRONMAN of Argentina was positioned as one of the best distance races complete, so it was officially designated as South American Championship, providing 75 slots for the IRONMAN World Championship, to be held in Hawaii, United States. Last edition IRONMAN super star showed up at IRONMAN Argentina: Miranda Carfrae, Sarah Piampiano, Sarah Crowley, Timothy O´Donnell, Andy Potts, Matt Chrabot, Matt Hanson, Michael Weiss, Jesper Sevensson among others.

We remind you that the IRONMAN Argentina consists of the combination of swimming for 3.8 km’s, 180 km cycling and 42.2 km’s running in a maximum time of 17 continuous hours.
