Austria holds a special place in the history of IRONMAN and from 2020, the legacy continues as the city of Graz becomes home to the latest and one of the most anticipated events in Europe – IRONMAN 70.3 Graz. Located about 200 km (125 miles) to the South of Austria’s national capital Vienna, Graz boasts a rich history of architecture, culture and educational institutions including medical and technical universities, with a historic Unesco World Heritage city centre.
The one-loop 1.9 km (1.2 mile) swim course is located at the Schwarzlsee. Starting at the Davis Cup arena, athletes will swim along the shore to the north and then continue south to the exit at the observation tower.
The one-loop 90 km (56 mile) bike course takes athletes to the Styrian countryside and leads to St. Oswald where the steepest climb awaits your. Athletes will be in for a fast journey to the “Schlossberg” of Graz and on to the Passamtswiese to transition.

Cut-off (Swim/Bike): 5:30h
The two-loop 21.1 km (13.1 mile) run course in the historic city center of Graz is sure to impress with magnificent buildings on the opera boulevard. Run along the tree-lined course following the river to the finish line with a scenic view of the Schlossberg.

Cut-off (Swim/Bike/Run): 8:30h
The finish line and venue at the Karmeliterplatz will show off a scenic view to the beautiful Schlossberg in the center of this historical city.
