Hudson River 50

In its inaugural year the Hudson River 50 aims to bring a world class ultra trail race to New York City’s own backyard. Starting and finishing on the banks of the Hudson River, with views of the New York City skyline, the race will consist of two twenty-five mile loops, along the Long Path and Shore Trail in the Palisades Interstate Park. There will also be a 25 mile option for anyone who only wants to attempt one loop.

The 50 Mile course offers a scenic tour through the the Palisades Interstate Park. The course starts at the Ross Dock Picnic area and takes runners all the way up to the New York State line and back. Awe-inspiring views and trails await along this challenging course!

The trails feature a variety of surfaces types, primarily rocky semi-technical singletrack mixed with more smooth dirt singletrack. The course is generally runnable, with lots of twists and turns, hills of various sizes, and some rocky technical sections. There are some extended, intermittent sections of road shoulder sections and roads that connect some trail segments.
