Highland Loops Trail Run

Training for your summer marathon or ultra? Looking to run your first trail race? Join us at the Highland Loops Trail Run for a day of music, single-track trail and tasty food. Whether you run 16 miles or 7 miles, you’ll enjoy a tough test as you run through Southeast Michigan woods.

This trail is 100% single track. It is also technical and narrow with tight turns and challenging ascents/descents. This will require good sportsmanship when it comes to passing other runners, or when someone asks to pass you. Also, we highly discourage the use of earbuds or any other devices that would impair your hearing. For the safety of all participants it’s important to remain fully aware of your surroundings.

While we will run on the mountain bike trails, there are also horse trails that intersect with the bike trails. Whenever the bike trail intersects with a horse trail, the rule of thumb is to continue straight (do not go left or right). The only turns you will make onto a new trail is when you come to a trail post marker. So remember, stay on the trail you’re running on, and only change to a new trail when a post marker is directly in front of you.

All proceeds are donated to our two non-profits: Huron Valley Special Olympics and the Motor City Mountain Biking Association. The event is limited to 175 runners. Hope to see you there!
