Frequently Asked Questions:
Do I need to be an experienced runner to participate? No, all are welcome, and you can do it. Run or Jog! We do have a cut-off time for the races: Runners will need to finish by 4pm.
What do I get for registering? All participants who register before the cutoff will receive our awesome long-sleeve tech race shirt! Runners will have access to fully stocked aid stations along the route, and food at the finish.
What will the course be like? Heritage Park is a beautiful wooded park with paved trails, service roads, single and double track trails, along with wide open spaces. Trails are well maintained with occasional roots, and rolling hills. Some areas could be muddy in the event of rain, but for the most part, the park and trails are in excellent condition during the entire year, and especially scenic during the Fall.

I had a great time on this race. It was technically difficult, with a lot of single-file trail through the woods, switchbacks and small, sometimes steep hills. The course was marked quite well aside from one place where I got a little off track (though it was available in All Trails if you wanted to follow along that way). There was a long stretch of running back and forth through lumpy grass, which may have been a little hard on the ankles, but at least it was still a soft surface. At the finish, there was a screen with immediate results posted. Plenty of food and drinks at the end. No bathrooms on the course. Aid station was nice. I was late to sign up so didn’t get a shirt, so I can’t speak to the swag. Medal was nice.
