The Hawkeye Fallout 50K/25K is the fall version of the popular Hawkeye 50K/25K trail run and ruck held in the spring. The course is run in the opposite direction (clockwise) from the Hawkeye 50K/25K. Run around the scenic McBride Lake, the race starts in Solon at the Timber Dome Lodge and heads down the soft North Shore Trail into McBride State Park, then over to the spillway and through the waterfall, then up into the UofI gorgeous single track technical trail and back a few miles on Mahaffey Bridge Road into Solon. The 50K is two loops, with a total elevation gain of 2,300’. There are four aid stations along the course. Hope you can join us for this amazing race!
Course time limits:
– 8 hours for the 50K (must start 2nd lap by 11:45am) otherwise you will be pulled from course.
– 8 hours for the 25K.
– If you are pulled from the course after lap one due to time restrictions, participant will receive an official time for the 25K distance.
Registration includes:
– Bib (race number)
– Entry into a timed event
– Name in the drawing for all the door prizes
– Technical race day runners hat for first 300 registered
– Amazing finishing medal for first 300 registered

– This event is on a off road trail. Strollers and pets are not allowed.
– USATF sanctioned event.
– Awards breakdown as follows; 50k/25k top three overall male and female, top three in AG 19 and under, 20-39 and 40+ in both male and female.
– There will not be any individual overall or AG awards for Rucking division.
– This race will be a cup less event. One collapsible cup will be provided to each race participant if needed.
– Technical unisex event shirts will be available to purchase prior to the February 28th cut off during the registration process. Shirts cost $10.00 each pictured below. Shirts will be black.
– In years past, the post party has always been pot luck style. This makes for great variety and different foods every year. This year will be no different, bring your favorite post race dish to share, and who knows maybe you will discover a new favorite.
